Booking Barmoor

The Barmoor Trustees wish to maximise charitable uses of the house across a range of charitable purposes.

Booking periods are generally allocated by our Bookings Administrator in November for the year following, from applications that have been received, so early application is advised.

Priority will be given to groups which closely match the charitable aim. Alternative dates may be offered for best fit between different groups.

After allocation of requests from charitable organisations, any vacancies remaining may be offered to other groups on a commercial basis. The 'profit' from these lettings is used specifically in support of our charitable aims. We may offer a concessionary commercial rate to an organisation that is not-for-profit but not a charity .

Vacancies that remain after November may be filled throughout the year as requests are received.

Bookings run from 3pm before the first night until 10am after the last night of your booking period, unless otherwise agreed. Weekend bookings can run to 7pm on Sunday.

Day hire of the Harvey Room may be possible during a vacancy.

Rates for booking Barmoor

Charitable rate

Groups registered with the charity commission may pay our basic charitable rate which is kept as low as we can. It is expected that the group is sharing living costs and non-profit.

Commercial rate

If vacant periods remain once charitable requests have been filled,  Barmoor may be available to private or business groups at a commercial rate.

This commercial income is used to subsidise the charitable purpose.

Concessionary commercial rate

Non-profit groups with aims of public benefit, but who pay reasonable fees to course providers, may claim an intermediate rate as detailed in the booking rates.

Any Christmas or New Year booking can expect to pay a special commercial rate.

All bookings pay a generally non-returnable deposit of £200 on confirmation of the booking, and the full basic fee four weeks before their date.
